With numerous successes of gaining planning permission for complex listed historic restoration projects as well as contemporary modern homes. Iain is able to offer advice and services for a wide range residential and commercial projects including new build, conversions and refurbishments. Iain is based in Hastings, East Sussex with projects being delivered across the South of England as well as the whole of London and further afield in Newcastle, Paris and the Welsh Borders.
Process
In order for you to make the most of Iain’s knowledge and experience, Iain offers an initial face to face project appraisal meeting at your site to view and consider your intentions within both the physical and legal constraints of your site.

- Physically reviewing proposals within the context of your site will enable Iain to properly advise you on the road map ahead right from the outset; thereby enabling you to focus on the real potential of your site.
- Everyone has the chance to collaborate from the outset on how the project can best meet your requirements.
Services
Following the project appraisal meeting Iain will provide you with a fee proposal and an appointment document accordingly; this will include a schedule of services for those services considered necessary to complete your project
Fees
Where processes include unquantifiable amounts of work, such as design development, we would suggest an hourly rate just for that particular element of the work to give the process increased flexibility. With more tangible exercises, such as applying for planning permission a fixed price can be provided.
Acceptance
Should the proposed services and fee be acceptable to you, then a signed copy of the signature page of the appointment document may be photographed and returned by text to Iain to enable him to commence work on his Architectural duties for the project. Often Iain communicates with WhatApp which enables clients to have a constant dialogue with their Architectural Consultant through out the project.
